Fangda Partners, one of China’s most influential law firms, has taken a significant step onto the global stage with the launch of its first office outside of China. Located on the 55th floor of Singapore’s prestigious One Raffles Place, this new office marks a milestone in the firm’s expansion into Southeast Asia. Thoughtfully designed, the space blends timeless modernity with minimalist sophistication, offering an inspiring environment that fosters connections and drives future partnerships.

A Space Defined by Elegance, Light, and Purpose

The office’s elevated location offers unparalleled vistas of Singapore’s skyline, a view that defines its grandeur. The design maximises the inflow of natural light, enhancing the sense of openness and clarity throughout. Expansive windows bathe the space in daylight, creating a vibrant and uplifting atmosphere that fuels productivity and creativity.

Neutral tones and a spacious open layout define the environment, striking a harmonious balance between understated luxury and modern functionality. The design incorporates sharp angular planes and a striking triangular layout, infusing the space with dynamic energy and visual interest. Natural materials, such as sleek marble surfaces, warm timber finishes, and raw stone accents, enhance the grounded, tranquil ambiance. Complementing this organic palette, contemporary art installations add a vibrant, creative energy, reflecting a seamless blend of structure and expression.

Nature and Heritage: The Bonsai Connection

At the heart of the workspace, a magnificent bonsai tree takes pride of place, symbolising wisdom, longevity, and balance. Rooted in Fangda’s Chinese heritage, the bonsai serves as a bridge between tradition and modernity, while its presence in the office reflects the importance of harmony and mindfulness. Strategically positioned within the layout, the bonsai is designed to be visible from multiple perspectives, allowing its tranquil presence to be appreciated from various vantage points across the space. This miniature embodiment of nature creates a serene focal point, enhancing the open, airy character of the environment and grounding the dynamic energy of the design.

Redefining the Modern Office

Fangda’s Singapore office is purposefully designed to adapt to the evolving nature of work. Private meeting rooms and sleek workstations provide focused spaces for individual tasks, while open collaborative areas foster spontaneous interactions. The reception area, designed with versatility in mind, can host events of various scales, offering both clients and employees a dynamic front-of-house experience. Operable walls between two meeting rooms can be fully opened, seamlessly combining the spaces into one expansive area, ideal for larger events or gatherings.

Every detail of the office reflects Fangda’s brand values — precision, professionalism, and warmth. The interplay of natural textures, contemporary accents, and angular lines creates an environment that is not only functional but also inspiring.

“Conexus Studio truly understood our vision and brought it to life with a beautifully designed space that feels like an extension of our brand. Their project and construction management teams were exceptional, ensuring every detail met our quality standards. Despite our team being remote, their seamless coordination made the process smooth. As our first office outside China, we’re very pleased with the outcome and grateful for their professionalism and ongoing support.”
