For the design of its new office, leading global workplace consultancy, Gallup envisioned an office that would not only embody its core values but also captivate its international clientele and inspire its staff. Through the design and build expertise of Conexus Studio together with project management by CBRE, this vision has been elegantly translated into a professional yet dynamic environment. The result is a space that seamlessly integrates adaptability, flexibility, and a strong focus on productivity within a compact setting. It artfully merges high functionality with visual sophistication, balancing modern aesthetics with thoughtful details that embody Gallup’s forward-thinking approach to workplace design.

Enhancing the Arrival Experience with Thoughtful Design

The building’s original layout presented a unique challenge, featuring a discreet, angled side door that could easily be missed. To address this, Conexus Studio envisioned a recessed foyer that would transform the arrival experience and enhance the first impression. The thoughtful design solution aligned perfectly with Gallup’s vision and laid the groundwork for the successful partnership that followed.

Upon entering the office, visitors are welcomed by a bold logo wall with Gallup’s metallic silver branding standing out sharply against the black background. This stark contrast draws attention, turning the previously hidden entrance into an engaging focal point. Beneath this feature, sleek black marble flooring flows seamlessly from the entryway into the heart of the office, guiding visitors inward, while fluted wood panels along the sides add warmth and comfort, setting the tone for the rest of the space.

Creating a Dynamic and Versatile Work Environment

In the reception area, a palette of bold, high-contrast colours like black, white, and dark wood creates a sleek visual impression that reflects the aesthetics of the company’s global outposts. Departing from the typical front desk setup, employees and visitors are welcomed by a vibrant work café, seamlessly connected to an open pantry and spacious training room. This adaptable layout supports a range of Gallup’s diverse business functions and operational needs, from hosting company-wide events that require catering to offering alternative work points for staff.

Within the work café, a thoughtful selection of seating options encourages interaction and enhance the workday experience. Layered lighting, including accent fixtures and cove lights, artfully segments the seating areas, adding depth and visual intrigue. Past the work café, the open pantry is enlivened with plants, colourful accents and discreet décor details. These intentional design features signal a break away from the formal monochromatic palette, creating a space more suited for rest and rejuvenation.

Adjacent to the pantry is Gallup’s hotspot of activity – the versatile training room often used for events and workshops. This space offers flexibility with operable walls that easily reconfigure the room for different needs. A distinctive feature wall, composed of brown textured panels and highlighted by cove lighting, provides continuity with the design of the adjoining spaces. Additionally, sleek, linear lights integrated into the ceiling create a modern feel while ensuring an optimal environment for productivity and functionality.

Designing for Conducive Work and Wellness

Beyond the sleek client-facing zones, the office features a range of workspaces, including colourful meeting rooms, vibrant focus rooms, and dedicated workstations. A discreet corridor from the pantry leads into a series of bookable meeting rooms. Enclosed and soundproofed, these rooms offset the lack of natural light with vibrant acoustic panels, infusing energy and character into the spaces. This design fosters an engaging atmosphere for productive discussions. Similarly, five focus rooms feature stunning artwork and coloured acoustic panels inspired by the unique architecture and character of the local neighbourhoods they are named after.

Expansive windows flood the office with natural light, which together with strategically placed plants throughout the space, contribute to a vibrant and calming atmosphere. Additionally, the office features ergonomic assigned seating workstations with adjustable tables and flexible monitor arms, promoting a healthier and more comfortable work environment that reflect Gallup’s people-first workplace culture.
